Life means absolute freedom; not the freedom from the absolute. Only God is absolute. Perhaps, we cannot realize God in this life, but we can take Him to be whatever is good within us or that makes us feel truly and internally happy with ourselves. Being slave of goodness gives us freedom from whatever can torment us. Slavery of all other things including our desires, intellect, ego, information, ignorance, knowledge, efficiency-inefficiency etc. keeps us in captivity. Captivity means stagnation, degeneration and death. Life cannot afford death.
