A
few from the ruling classes and their
powerful allies of the past created a system that served the interest of their
descendants at the cost of a vast human population that was violently and
forcefully deprived of what was rightfully due to them. The laws of the nature,
or if one wants to name them as Divine laws, earmarked the natural resources
equitably for the use who were ever born on this earth. But, the ruling classes
of the past and their powerful allies deceitfully or by using any kind of
violence, deprived others of what was meant for the use of the others.
Today,
the affairs of the world are primarily under control of much less than one
third of the world population. Those in control, treat others, that is, those
belonging to much more than the two thirds of the world population, as mere
resources for their use to enable them (the few in control) live more
comfortably than ever. Those in control lead others in all spheres of life, the
economic, the social, the political, the educational, the religious and the
philosophical etc...
Those
who are in control are also human beings just as those who are controlled. Their
inner voice reminds them of the harm that is being caused to many. They have no
courage to tread on the path of the truth, as that is not the path leading to
much physical comfort. Their selfishness and many affinities for comfort,
luxuries and sensory pleasure make them too timid to transform them. Relieving
them of their guilt consciousness always remains as a subdued but constant desire
in them. Often they prefer to remain confused about the true concept of the God
and the essence of spirituality and the respective religions they follow. They
opt in favour of the demonstrative, ritualistic and pretentious aspects of the
religion. They deliberately drift towards the relatively unknown layers of
spirituality and to satisfy them with what is mystic and illusory about them.
They endeavour to nurture their ego by giving charities to those who suffer
because of their (the people who are in control of the affairs of the world)
own misconduct, and thereby making the deprived dependent on them, thus causing
more harm to them.
There
are ostentatious, pretentious and superficial version of religions and
spirituality that are in much circulation in this age of fast paced
advancements in technology and self-contentedness. The man is not violent by
nature. The violence caused by his selfishness creates illusory conditions.
Perhaps, it is becoming more and more necessary to investigate into what is occurring
today in the name of the religion and spirituality.
