VAGDEVI SPIRITUAL PROCESS [#15098] INTROSPECTION WITHOUT BORROWING THOUGHTS

The one and only cause of Adhyatmik sorrow (that can be understood in a simple manner as the sorrow related to self and happening in life experienced through mental processes and not related to bodily [physical] pains and sufferings due to the problems caused by nature, natural calamities etc.) is the mental and intellectual reliance on illusions. Illusion means not being able to seeing things as they actually are and/or seeing things the way they are not actually there. When one relies on information, knowledge, thoughts and people that are not truthful, and discards information, knowledge, thoughts and prompting of people who are truthful, he is bound to suffer.

One does not have to delve into deep philosophical issues of life to understand matters related to illusions. Even day to day occurrences that cause mental agony may be analyzed to develop initial but conclusive understanding of what is dangerous about the illusions.

Spirituality is not much distanced or unapproachable from our day to day life. The only things that are needed is settling in selflessness, compassion, absence of pride, reliance on one’s own experiences and introspection without borrowed or copied thoughts from others.
