There are many things that are managed by the societies.
Societies are constituted by men; and, men can make mistakes. Ordinarily, we
all believe that men, collectively, would make lesser mistakes than when they
are made to decide things individually. However, we can’t be sure about it.
When the societies realize their mistakes; they, in a
hurry to rectify the identified mistakes, make more mistakes. For example, when
the societies realized that the man is causing harm to his environment, they
prevented him from doing so. The societies asked the man not to kill animals,
birds, and fish; and, not to fell trees. What the societies failed to realize
that the man harmed the nature because he had stopped viewing himself as a part
of the nature; he had distanced himself from the nature. And, therefore, the
man needed to relearn the art and science of living with nature.
One cannot make a child love others and to be concerned
about them only by curtailing their violence; he has to be educated to identify
themselves with others.
Social management has to be made proactive with the help
of right minded people.
Societies, generally, have a preventive role to play in
regulating human conduct. Managing a social change needs positive and proactive
support of men, the men who think rightly and conduct accordingly. This is a
difficult requirement, but not altogether impossible to meet.
