One must try to seek the company of those who
are simple, compassionate and not much self- centered without bothering about
their social status and level of education; and, must avoid the company of
those who lack the quality of compassion and are much self-centered, howsoever
high or compatible with you they might be in their social status, wealth or level
of education.
If
one strictly follows this rule, he will add more value to his quality of life
than he may otherwise add by faithfully observing many religious rituals and by
visiting several sacred places of worship to offer prayers to the God.
No
one can make much progress on the right path if he keeps the company of selfish
people.
