We commence
living by doing what our instincts prompt us to do, say, we cry to
inform the world that we are hungry or close our eyes if there is too much of
light. We have no clue about why we do what we do, and therefore,
totally depend on our instincts delivered free by the God with the ‘life package’
granted by Him. How we do what we do depends on party our instincts and
partly those who protect the precious life granted by the God.
We grow by gradually replacing a
substantial part of the God-given instincts with what the world around us, instructs
us to do, upgrading the what and how elements of the three basic
questions, but suppressing the intensity of the questions beginning with why.
Of course, some branches of instincts under the broad head of sensory pleasure
are added, when we grow further. It does not take long before we become lazy
and sensuous commanders of our lives entering into a contract with billions of
other commanders of life by deputing a dummy supreme commander, popularly known
as ‘the human society’, to guide us to continue the life’s journey.
After having taken care of our
body, mind, senses and ego with such arrangement, whenever we find that our
intellect is becoming an irritating component in our machinery, we deploy it to
enact some multi-act plays based on the theme
of ‘human freedom’ for our entertainment. That is how the life goes on
till it ends; unless, we, by any chance or a design ask us why?
