It is not a great theory; it is a common
happening. I am not at all opposed to those who believe that doing good is
within the ability of the God only, not that of the man’s. But, I also believe
that the man can think about the benefit of the all. At least, the man can
imitate the God in this respect. The difficulty is that the man can never
figure out what exactly, at what time and in what circumstances a particular
thing will benefit someone.
We
can and must constantly think well for others; we must conduct so as not to
cause any harm to anybody; and we must also try to learn throughout our lives,
what could benefit the smallest creation of the God through our deeds and
conduct. There always exists a definite probability, howsoever small that may
be, that the good may happen to the mankind, in particular, and the living
beings, in general. But, such probability exists only when the thought and
conduct with the intentions of the good being extended to the world does not go
below a particular threshold level. It is not within the ability of the man to
know the threshold level in a given time frame and circumstance. Hence, we cannot
afford to think ill of anybody or anything in this world, at all times and in
any circumstances.
If there could be an essence of all the scriptures
and religions take together, it can’t be any different from this. Even the
wisest man cannot prove this theory, but, any human being, without exception, can justify it practically.
