VAGDEVI SPIRITUAL PROCESS [#15047] DEACTIVATING THE INTELLECT AND REJUVENATING THE HEART

We human beings feel much proud when we define ourselves as the living beings with extraordinary intellect. No one calls us entities with extraordinarily large hearts. If these were our constant prejudices, then we have ever been, living a prejudiced life. However, human life, rather fortunately, has hardly to do anything with the way some of us, with highly activated intellect, have ever tried to define and analyze life.

But, everything is not well with our lives. One with some ability to write a script should never be given the job of directing a play scripted by someone else. In all likelihood he would ‘misdirect’ the play. People with activated intellect have ever been siphoning out much of the beautiful essence of our lives.

Human violence, the biggest cause of human suffering, leaves its latent form and acquires  the potential of causing much harm only when it is backed by intellectual justifications, whether ill-intended or not.  One says; women are not as strong as man, hence they must be taken care of; thus justifying the violence against women. If we look at all the violence pervading in this world, we would invariably find some intellectual argument presented to support it. As against it a large heart can bear any amount of violence, but would never think of causing harm to others.

The essence of life is life itself, not destruction. The natural human form is that of love, compassion, dutifully acting to make his surroundings happy, and making sacrifices to preserve the beauty of life and the nature. The man satisfies his creative urge through selfless service of his surroundings. The man tries to be complete in his life through his efforts in fulfilling what is incomplete in and around him. If he finds that he is not receiving what he must receive from his life, he must deactivate his intellect and rejuvenate his heart.
