VAGDEVI SPIRITUAL PROCESS [#15048] BEING DUTY BOUND, NOT RESOURCEFUL

Many from us try to make out that spiritual advancement has much to do with becoming more resourceful. No doubt, people often do not associate such resourcefulness with the acquisition of physical resources; still, a sense of superiority of the spiritually advanced people is not excluded.

Universal consciousness recognizes only one kind of superiority, the superiority of the Supreme, the God. There, also, the ultimate merger of the consciousness of ‘the Superior’ and that of His infinite parts is viewed as the ultimate stage of all that exists. The perfect equality or the unity is the truth, which can never be sacrificed.

We can’t add any value to anything. We can only endeavour to reduce disorder. Reducing disorder is our sacred duty. It is our sacred duty because all the disorder has been created by us, in this very life, or in our previous lives or by our ancestors.

We should strictly avoid casting shadows of our worldly ways on the ways of spirituality. Spiritual growth, spiritual advancement, elevated state, and enlightenment, etc. are mere words to encourage the seekers of the truth. They should not convey any sense of superiority. Similarly, the non applicability of such terms should not be viewed as some kind of a wretched state. Being aware of the errors of the past and committed efforts to rectify them with intentions of restoring the order within ourselves and in our immediate surroundings must be our sacred, humble and much fulfilling duty.

My words, or for that matter, any words used to discuss about spirituality could, at best, be the outcome of the experiences gained by many. One who commits himself to the ways of spirituality, must, however, give more importance to his own experiences. But, that he should do knowing full well that gaining some experience of the path travelled does not make any one superior or distinguished.
