How
much we depend on the stars, our sun being one of the several thousand billions
of them! How much we depend on the planets, our earth being, once again, one of
the many thousand billions of them! We blow the tiny trumpet of our
independence to suppress the deafening truth of our overwhelming ‘total
dependence’.
Our near blindness is our vision and our mammoth ignorance,
our knowledge. Our greed is our wealth
and our hatred, our love. We wear courage to hide the nudity of our timidity,
and always carry our arrogance with us, in person, that only measures our fall.
Born inverted, we have to learn to stand upright on the earth,
and walk with a speed 0.0025 kilometer per second instead of crawling into the space
with a speed of 15.75 kilometers per second. Instead of collecting thousands of
impressions every day and trying to store them in our overcrowded minds without
success, we must try to know what we can ‘really’ understand and carry it with
us in our lives. We alone, no one else, can really educate us.
