Words are commonplace; they hardly cost us
anything. But, good thoughts are precious. They remain latent in a mind that
suffers courageously and bears pains of others as if they were its own for a
pretty long time before sprouting even as a rough sketch and a hesitant resolve.
Only
a very few among us are well settled in compassion to convert their precious
thoughts into selfless actions that can deliver any benefit to the mankind. The
selfless actions do not need to convey their meaning or justify their purpose. They
prove their worth through the life they give to the lifeless. Unlike selfish
actions they do not need crutches of meaningless words to allude and allure.
While
selfless action is the true wealth that makes a man honorable; selfish actions
are cheap, perpetually discounted, often offered as free, because, they bring
the curse of sorrow and dishonor for the beneficiaries as well as those who act
with selfish motives. The fruits of selfish actions are illusory in character.
They have the intense sweetness that becomes poisonous in due course of time.
Discarding
this thought as a worthless rhetoric is a gigantic error committed by us. We
must keenly observe what is going on around us and learn from the mistakes of
others, because that is the right way of living.
