The human life is contaminated with the thought
and conduct based on the duality and discrimination gives birth to societies
that become the cause of much suffering of human beings and also of other
living beings. The duality blurs the vision and corrupts the intellect. It is
an infectious disease found in human beings that may infect all that are living
and also the nonliving existing in this world. Its growth is always cancerous.
The
Oneness or Advait cannot be created or developed. It is a natural state
that is ever existent. It becomes invisible when duality overshadows it. We
cannot always say with confidence that duality (Dvait) always
overshadows the Oneness (Advait); maybe, some are fortunate enough to
realize the state of Oneness early in their lives. But, in general, the affairs
of the world influence most of us in a manner that we are deprived of even a
glimpse of perfect Oneness throughout our lives.
The
one and the only thing that can make our lives meaningful are our constant
efforts to dispel the gloom of duality away from our lives. It is not easy; but,
it is also not impossible. Our mind, our intellect, our conduct and our words
must work in unison to do away with duality in all aspects of our lives.
Further, if and when we achieve some success in this direction, we must
practice it rigorously without feeling elated about having done it. Complacency
and ego are not allowed if one targets to settle in Oneness.
