VAGDEVI SPIRITUAL PROCESS [#15115] ACTIONS CAUSE WEAR AND TEAR

Life cannot be visualized without activities. Even lifeless things are involved in perpetual motion with extraordinary precision according to the cycles of nature to sustain life in this universe. Each action generates something, but also degenerates something else. Then, another action takes place to regenerate what was degenerated in earlier action. This goes on repeating itself with utmost precision and life goes on.

When man acts, he often acts in his selfish interest relying on his intellect that is rarely aligned to universal intelligence. Such actions hardly generate anything, but degenerate much. Our ancestors, after much experiencing, experimentation and contemplation, stipulated as to how man must live so that the process of life is aligned to the universal intelligence. They called it Manav (man’s) Dharma. They asked the man to act according to Dharma without having any desire for the fruits of his action.

History has proved that whenever, selfish actions became much in excess of actions according to Man’s Dharma, life became a threat to the man and a need for curtailing selfish actions arose. Curtailing selfish actions of man have to be an action for change and make the man act according to Man’s Dharma (duty). This has to be a selfless action without having any desire for the fruit of action. Any desire for fruit of action may make the man vacillate from the course of his action thereby compelling him to make compromises with the quality of his action. Perhaps, as it has been said in the great scriptures, the one who acts selflessly for the benefit of others without any desire for the fruits of his action is immensely benefited spiritually. But, whether the selfless action in itself does not cause any wear and tear cannot be said with confidence. Perhaps, that is the reason why some spiritualists are not much in favor of any action.

Nature acts continually with utmost precision and without even the slightest error in its periodicity. It takes care of all wear and tear caused by its action. Why the selfless action should ever be relaxed if it is the only way to avoid the life in this universe being endangered? The scriptures have already said that the man must live strictly following the cycles of nature which generate, and also regenerate whatever gets degenerated as a consequence for its action of generation.
