It is very difficult for us to realize what the
consciousness of an element is. It is certainly not the consciousness of
something insignificant, irrelevant or worthless. It is definitely not about
being the cause of everything, including the element itself. Thinking of it
being something like a stagnant mathematical average will, most likely, be too
simplistic.
Perhaps,
the answer lies in our concept of very high frequency oscillations that we are
not able to perceive physically. If we are able to reach deeper layers of our
consciousness, maybe, we can experience the both of them, the insignificant
part of ourselves and the all-important part; as well as, the absence of the
two.
Being ordinary mortals, we can neither
tolerate nothingness, nor the thought of being everything. Perhaps, it is best
to dwell on something-ness, fully realizing our mortal nature and the potential
within us of influencing our destiny.
