The thought of perfect oneness stems from the concept
of oneness of the universe with all the animate and inanimate included therein
and the Almighty. If we are one with the God; we neither can say that the God
does not exist, nor can we say our lives are mere illusions being totally
devoid of any reality.
If
the God and we are one, then we are the ones who are capable of writing our own
destinies. In such a case, there is no logic in performing any meaningless
rituals to please the God to derive any benefit from Him; we just have to work
for our own benefit.
The
only condition is that we must think about the universe just as the God would
think, and act just as the God would act. As for the knowledge about how the
God thinks and acts, we have learned enough from the great scriptures that we
have and the religions proposed by the great thinkers of the past that were the
men of impeccable character; we can’t pretend that we do not know about it.
Is
it because of our absolute lack of confidence in ourselves, our laziness, our
insatiable desires or fears of all kinds that we live with, including that of
the death, we have invented the thought of duality, that is, we are different
from the God? If our intellect is capable of evolving the concept of oneness,
it can definitely also make us do what must be done. Of course, we can pray for
our inseparability with the God to gain enough courage to eliminate all the
fears that we may have and for settling our intellect in the thought of
oneness.
