The man has always felt that his individual efforts
of survival in his life have ever been found lacking, hence, he conceptualized
human societies to augment his strength by exercising collective restraint.
But, human societies increased human desires to unimaginable proportions and
made them multifarious and multidimensional. We all are well aware that greater
the number of the desires, more fearful we tend to become.
When
we accept to depend on others for our survival, conditionally, or
unconditionally, we find it extremely difficult to avoid buying fears of
others, notwithstanding the damages that may cause to us. As social beings, it
is our duty to exercise restraint in matters of our desires, but, it does not
mean that we kill the explorer in us under the ever increasing burden of taming compliance s of farcical and fictitious systems, traditions, practices and
demands sourced by burgeoning loads of the desires of the selfish, greedy and
weak elements of the society whose population has ever shown an increasing trend.
The
societies, those are not congenial to the growth of courageous explorers, and, the
non-conformists valuing freedom of thought and experimenting produce herds of foolish
mules that are difficult to stop once they get going in the wrong direction
laden with the errors of the past. Such societies can produce only jackals and
foxes on the one side and sheep and the foolish mules on the other.
The
societies that do not encourage courageous explorers and the experimenters
create an environment that blocks the process of spiritual advancement. Not
buying the fears of the others comes first; expressly denying the wrong or protesting
there against comes later.

Sir, creating a society increases human desires and consequently, fear? I think society is the basic building block of civilisations. A world full of loners may not be designed as such by Him. In society, there will always be the thinker, doers etc who will be able to make their mark. I accept that total dependence on societal support tends to increase herd mentality. But society cannot be wished away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting. You are absolutely right. In my opinion, the societies teach us how to live with, and also for all that exists in the universe, just as other living being live. The interdependence of all is a lesson that we learn; and the other lesson is being alone and being responsible for exploring the truth of the things. That enables us to live a meaningful life. Trust you will also agree.
