Man
is a slave of his fears. Every morning he gets up with his fears of the
previous day. It’s not that he does not want to get rid of his fears. In fact,
most of us are always desperate about solving all kinds of problems that we
encounter with the best of our abilities. We try to solve them, assuming that
they have arisen due to some external causes or due to some shortcomings or
deficiencies existing within us. However, we invariably find that there is no
end to the external causes and/or our deficiencies. The net result is that we
live with all kinds of unsolved problems throughout our lives.
Does it mean that we are born to play games that we are bound
to lose or sing in praise of the struggles of life? No, the life is not meant for such things.
Can’t we decide to handle the mundane issues on best effort
basis and ‘utilize’ our lives for playing some serious games that we may never
lose? It is not difficult to build our own understanding about the purpose of
our life after realizing that we can not get all that we may crave for, but, we
can achieve at least some satisfaction if we give a part of our life for being
useful for others, especially those who are deprived of some essential things a
human life depends on.
It is not very difficult to strike a reasonable balance
between dividing ‘our life for us’ and ‘our life to others’ depending on our
ability and the circumstances we are placed in. The only commitment that we
must make to us is “we will give a part of our life to the universe we are a
part of”.
